Prohibited Conduct

Taxfyle is an on-demand marketplace for customers and Tax Pros to engage in tax preparation services. Our team is devoted to fostering a safe and transparent environment for our users. It’s our obligation to protect our customers in the event there is foul play. Suspected foul play in any form is not accepted. Any Tax Pro identified as perpetrating prohibited conduct will immediately be suspended.

Solicitation

Taxfyle will not tolerate any Tax Pro suspected of soliciting Taxfyle customers for services not communicated with the Taxfyle Pro Success team. Any Tax Pro suspected of soliciting Taxfyle customers outside the platform will be suspended indefinitely. If you find the client may require additional services not indicated within the current job specifications, you may reach out through the Taxfyle help chat and a member of the Taxfyle Pro Success team will contact the client and adjust fees and job details accordingly.

False Pretense

All Tax Pros must accept Taxfyle terms and agreement before accepting any opportunities. Our Terms of Use indicate Tax Pros will perform the tax preparation duties for individuals and businesses seeking services via the Taxfyle platform. In no circumstance is it acceptable to accept an opportunity and allow another individual to prepare returns and communicate with clients under the guise of your profile. We understand some Tax Pros within the platform own their own firms and may have associates engaged to prepare the returns; However, as the Tax Pro registered with Taxfyle, you will be the party ultimately responsible for communication. Tax Pros suspected of conducting themselves in a suspicious manner will be suspended indefinitely.

External Communication

Taxfyle developed the in-app messenger tool to foster a safe and transparent working environment for our customers and Tax Pros. It’s mandatory for all communication between customer and Tax Pro to be held within the Taxfyle messenger tool as this allows a transcript to remain available for future reference. If at any time a customer requests to speak to you outside of the app, please respectfully decline. We will have access to the communication channels within Taxfyle and may remove a Tax Pro from the pool for soliciting work outside of the platform. Taxfyle understands that some situations require alternative forms of communication. Before agreeing to any such form, please reach out to the Taxfyle Success Team for their written consent. Should any communication outside of the platform occur, we ask that you (the Pro) provide a summary of what was discussed in the engagement chat.

Mishandling Information

Maintaining the security of our sensitive customer information is a top priority. Tax Pros are expected to handle all information transmitted through the Taxfyle platform with due care. Any inappropriate actions or mishandling of customer information will not be tolerated under any circumstance. Tax Pros are expected to uphold professional and ethical conduct in the manner designated by their credentialing authority’s governing body. Tax Pros suspected of unethical behavior will be suspended indefinitely.
